Mixed, a Discourse in 3 Cocktails

One part storytelling event, one part mixology class, and one part great conversation, garnished with charm. After receiving City Artist Corps Grant to bring live performance back to NYC after the first wave of Covid-19, I wrote and performed a 3-act cocktail show in October 2021. Working with director Andrew Neisler, we reimagined the melting pot to explore the notion of ‘America as a Mixed Drink.’ Guests were invited into the bartender’s basement for an intimate, participatory cocktail show in which ideas of Ancestry, Identity, and Home were shaken and stirred.
